This grant provides for the acquisition and installation of a Forward Looking Infra- <br /> red (FLIR)video system for the police SAFE boat. This piece of equipment will enhance the <br /> City's ability to respond to homeland security incidents during times of poor visibility and at night. <br /> Council approved acceptance of this grant at the July 17, 2013,Council meeting. <br /> Increase grant revenue 002 3x>000cx>ax 28,000 <br /> Increase equipment budget 031 5320000640 28,000 <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-7 Police Dept Amendment-Boating Safety Grant 031A 15,042 <br /> GGA-7 General Fund Amendment-Boating Safety Grant 002A 15,042 <br /> The Everett Police Department was awarded an additional $15,042 in grant funds above the <br /> original $55,973 grant award from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. The <br /> funds are to reimburse costs of on-the-water patrols and boating education classes.
