EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES The Everett City Council hereby authorizes the property tax levy for collection in the year 2014 at $5,744,230 (including a $430,826 increase in dollar amount, which is a 8.1083% increase over the amount of taxes lawfully levied by the City in 2013, plus an estimated $100,000 from new construction, improvements to property, annexations, and changes in state-assessed property, and $100,000 resulting from a refund levy, for a total of$5,944,230. This amount will maintain a levy rate of$0.50 per $1,000 of assessed value. The highest lawful EMS levy was established in 2011 in the amount of$6,181,722. Section 2: That the City Clerk be, and hereby is, directed to certify to the County Assessor a copy of this ordinance in order that the same be extended upon the general assessment roll of said County, in the same manner and at the same time that the levy for the State and County taxes is extended.
