RESOLUTION NO. 6054 <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a sole source purchase of one <br /> Headworks Mahr Bar Screen from Treatment Equipment Company. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility requires the replacement of one existing bar screen; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Headworks Inc produces the only bar screens that match existing equipment, and are identical <br /> to the units which have been installed since 2001; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Headworks Mahr 1/4"Automatic Mechanical Bar Screens have the same unique operational <br /> features required by the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility which include screening mesh size,high <br /> flow capacity, telemetry requirements and alignment angles; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Headworks Mahr Bar Screens have the same spare parts inventory, and maintenance <br /> protocols as the existing equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS, Treatment Equipment Company, is the sole distributor of Headworks Bar Screens in the <br /> Northwest Region; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT that <br /> because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying mechanical bar screens that <br /> meet the City's needs and are compatible with existing equipment, the City hereby waives competitive <br /> bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of one Headworks •. : .
