RESOLUTION NO. 6099 ePo•1/ //11 <br /> :SETT <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a sole source purchase of <br /> Pratt Pneumatic Valve Actuators from Beaver Equipment Specialty Company. <br /> WHEREAS, the Water Filtration Plant requires the replacement of numerous pneumatic valve <br /> actuators; and <br /> WHEREAS, Henry Pratt Company produces the only valve actuators that are compatible with <br /> existing valves; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Pratt actuators are unique in the use of fiberglass cylinders resulting in increased <br /> reliability and longevity; and <br /> WHEREAS, Beaver Equipment Specialty Company, is the sole distributor of Pratt Valve <br /> Actuators in the Northwest Region; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying <br /> Pneumatic Valve Actuators that meet the City's needs and are compatible with existing <br /> equipment, the City hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase <br /> of Pratt Valve Actuators from Beaver Equipment Specialty Company. <br /> i Am. <br /> Councilperson Intr. u ing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 22nd day of December , 2008. <br /> Council resident <br />
