RESOLUTION NO 6 o o 3 <br /> A RESOLUTION concerning 2008 Community Development <br /> Block Grant funds, HOME funds,Affordable Housing 2060 <br /> funds, CHIP funds and approval of the 2008 Action Plan for <br /> submission to the Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and <br /> community development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available <br /> through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those <br /> programs and Everett is entitled to receive $919,821.00 in 2008; and <br /> WHEREAS, CDBG funds in the amount of $76,000.00 are available to reallocate to other <br /> programs this year; and <br /> WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds , <br /> American Dream Down payment Initiative (ADDI) funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds from <br /> Snohomish County this year; and. <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has <br /> studied the housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its <br /> recommendations for 2008 CDBG funds; 2003 through 2008 HOME funds, and 2008 2060 <br /> Housing Trust funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations of the <br /> above committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 2008 Action Plan have been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing <br /> Authority and other non profit service providers; <br />
