These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions, or additions, may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2003 International Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and adopted by the City of Everett and the Washington State Energy Code, 2004 Edition, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings retlecting the corrections requested. 1. The stairway and elevator shafts that connect three floor levels are required to be constructed with a fire-resistance rating of one-hour Per IBC 707.2 and 707.4. Stairway doors are required to be one hour rated per IBC 707J. The shaft walls are required to be constructed as fice barriers that continue through concealed spaces per IBC 707.5. 2. Reference to the structural requirements should be included within the architectural wall type schedules. Please prepare a response letter showing where each item in this correction letter is addressed on the plan set. Upon resubmittal of the drawings, your application will be given priority and plan review will recommence. All required submittals shall be of sufficient detail and contain sufficient information to ensure that the proposed structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes.
