We understand that the new building will be of masonry block conswctioa and <br /> [ will utilize a conventional spread footing foundation with slab-on-gade 9oors. � <br /> Baud on our conversations with you,we understand that the bearing pressura will $ <br /> ` not acceed 2,000 psf. � <br /> 4.0 SITE CONDITIONS � <br /> � 4.1 Surface Observations � <br /> CThe triangulaz site containing the proposed 7-Eleven Convenieace Srore,fueGng <br /> statioq and an adjacent Jack-In-Tho-Box Restaurant is located at the northwestern corner of <br /> � the intersectioa of Highway 99 and Airport Road in Everett(Snohomish County), <br /> Washingtoa Aicport Road and H'ighway 99 aze located aloug the western and eastem <br /> propaty lines respectively. An existing temple(Big Al's Temple of Boom) is located to the <br /> t north of the subject property,while the intersection of H'ighway 99 and Airpoct Road is <br /> L located to the south of the property. <br /> t The site is generally flat with the exception of the slight grades exhibited by the <br /> � exiscing parking iot and othu gading activities conducted on the site. The siu's vegetation <br /> � consists of grass with some young evergroen vees located aloag the eastem and wrcstern <br /> property lines. A drainage swale was observed aear the eastern propecty line adjacent to aad <br /> wat of H'ighway 99. At the time of our site visit,we obsecved aa asphaltic pavement in the <br /> � central portion of the site accessing both FLghway 99 and Aicport Road. We did not obsave <br /> any settlement cracking in this asphaitic pavement. <br /> � At the time of our site visit, we observed two billboards located in the area of the <br /> proposed 7-Eleven&eling island area. Mother biUboard was located near the western <br /> properry line, along the entrance from Airport Road. <br /> t4.2 Subsurface Investigation <br /> ' 4.2.1 Methodology <br /> Subsurface conditions at the site were investigated by conducting three(3)backhoe <br /> � test pits on il�e prop�sed 7-Eleven Convenience Storo site on June 26, 1998. M additional <br /> test boring was conducted on July 21, 1998 in the area of the proposed UST location. <br /> � Z - <br />
