Exhibit "A" <br /> Scope of Services, Time of Performance, Budget, <br /> Payment, Notices, and Representatives <br /> I. Scope of Service <br /> A. Activities/Project Description <br /> The Subgrantee will be responsible for administering the Day Camp Schoplarships program in a <br /> manner satisfactory to the City and consistent with any standards required as a condition of <br /> providing these funds. Such program will include the following activities eligible under the Community <br /> Development Block Grant Program: <br /> Program Delivery <br /> Activity: <br /> [Complete description of activity to be undertaken including what projects, products or services are to be performed, <br /> where they are to be provided, for whom they are to be provided, how they are to be provided] <br /> Funding will assist Camp Fire in providing full or partial camperships to 15 low-income <br /> children to attend a one week session of Day Camp at Camp Killoqua during the months of <br /> July and August, 2016. The children who receive these camperships will all be residents of <br /> Everett. They will be referred to the program by schools, DSHS, Camp Fire volunteers, or <br /> other social service agencies. Camp Killoqua is owned and operated by Camp Fire and is <br /> located in the Stanwood area. Each campership entitles a boy or girl to full participation in all <br /> programs and services at Camp Killoqua. Full time counselors and transportation is <br /> provided to facilitate a complete schedule of youth development activities. These include: <br /> swimming, boating, hiking, outdoor camping, crafts, environmental education, confidence <br /> and leadership courses, and a host of other exciting activities. <br /> Through this program, the following objectives are achieved: <br /> - teaching each child how to get along with others and work together as a group <br /> - developing in each child a knowledge of and respect for the environment <br /> - providing each child with positive adult role models that too often are missing in their <br /> lives <br /> - the children have fun <br /> - they make new friends <br /> - learn how to handle responsibility <br /> - develop a positive attitude about themselves and their own future. <br />
