C
Ted Budden
From: Ted Budden
Sent: Wednesday, November 13, 2013 2:05 PM
To: Cynthia Keirsey
Cc: Jeff Heilman; Tony Lee; Kevin Fagerstrom
Subject: RE: 1201 41st. St, Condemned house now owned by Tom Rehberg
Heilo Cinciy,
We visited the property today at 1201415T ST. to determine the current sttus of the building, here is the outcome of
the inspection.
Mr. Rehberg was on site when we arrived and allowed us entry to view the conditian of the property. The interior of the
house has been heavily vandalized and damaged. The damages have affected and compromised the electrical system,
plumbing system, mechanicai system, and some of the structure itself. The records indicate that all prior permits have
expired. Work to abate prior iolations per tfie Hearing Examiners Crder has not been completed.
The building is vacant and should remain so untii occupancy has been granted by this office. Mr. Rehburg indicated to
us that he plans to bring in an RV of some kind ta provide overnight security. i suggested he contact your office or EPD
abaut this.
1 pasted the property with an Unlawful Structure placard due ta the conditions abserved and the praperty records.
A Stop Work order fas posted due to the plumbing work that Uvas taking place without permits during our visit.
Plans for the proposed use and repairs w'slf be required for any permit issuance.
Inspection approvals for ail of the effected repair wark that is propased will be required.
Final approvai from this cffice priar to any use or accupancy is required.
i strongly support continued conc3ernnatian of the praperty until abatement is campleted.
Regards.
• ; : +i-
From: Cynthia Keirsey
Sent: Wednesday, November 13, 2013 11:39 AM
To: Ted Budden; Tony Lee
Subject: 1201 41st. St, Condemned house now owned by Tom Rehberg
Ted,
I reinspected the property at 1201415Y St. and found a worker who said that he was repairing plumbing leaks. The
exterior of the property had the yards mowed and the vegetation cleared in the front yard. A search of the recorder's
website revealed that Timothy Rehburg is now the owner of the property. I believe that the structure continues to have
work that was not approved by the building department. Could you please look at the records and advise me regarding
the status of the permits and what needs to be done to bring the property into compliance. I advised the worker John
Looney that the city would not allow occupancy of the building until all work was permitted, inspected and approved.
i
