/P%/7A <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5951 <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City of Everett to honor the life of Terry Ennis <br /> Whereas, Terry Ennis graduated from Everett High School in 1962 and went on to become a <br /> caring teacher and an inspirational football coach; and <br /> Whereas, throughout his life, he established a forum in his classrooms and on the football field <br /> to share his ideals,passion for excellence and positive outlook on life; and <br /> Whereas, guided by his belief in preparation and perseverance, Terry Ennis attained a career <br /> coaching record of 287-87 over 36 seasons, the second winningest record in prep football in the <br /> state of Washington; and <br /> Whereas, Terry Ennis's love of family extended well beyond bloodlines, and his home was open <br /> to all athletes and students in need; and <br /> Whereas, the legacy of Terry Ennis is one of victory, compassion and respect for others; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND EVERETT CITY <br /> COUNCIL THAT: <br /> October 17, 2007,be known as Terry Ennis Day in the city of Everett in recognition of his <br /> contributions to the Everett community and the positive ideals he impressed on our young <br /> people. <br /> Passed and approved this 17th day of October 2007. <br /> Ray Ste son, ayor Br:ta Stone' ,e t it President <br /> rew Nielsen, o ncil Vice President 1. • Ha lo(') e ber <br /> 6)4 <br /> Bob Overstreet, Council Member Ron GipsonCo cil Member <br /> aul Roberts, Co cil Member Marian Krell, Council Member <br />
