STORMWATER SITE PLAN
EVERETT COMMUNITY COLLEGE HOUSING - BROADWAY
Silt Fence (BMP C233)
Install silt fence in locations indicated on the plan.
PERMANENT SOURCE CONTROL BMPs
Permanent source controls will be as follows:
SEPTEMBER 11, 2015
PAGE 10
Container storage of wastes. The containers shall be covered and maintained to prevent storm
water from entering and leaks from occurring.
Vegetative maintenance. The planter areas shall be kept clean of debris.
Storm system maintenance.
MR 4: PRESERVATION OF NATURAL DRAINAGE
Runoff from the site currently flows towards the City streets and into the combined sewer
system. That will continue under the proposed project.
MR 5: ON-SITE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
The purpose of on-site stormwater management is to infiltrate, disperse and retain stormwater
runoff on-site to the maximum extent possible. Given the limits of open space and the till soils,
there is not a significant chance to infiltrate or disperse runoff. Planter areas will be treated
with amended topsoil to assist in retaining runoff.
BMP T5.13 Post Construction Soil Quality and Depth: This BMP will also be used to manage
stormwater. The BMP is called out in the SWPPP section and also on the construction plans. It is
proposed to stockpile the high quality topsoil stripped from the access route and reuse this
material on the disturbed areas.
MR 6: RUNOFF TREATMENT
Per Public Works Policy #2-11, as flow is directed into the combined sewer, there is no treatment
requirement for the project.
MR 7: FLOW CONTROL
Per Public Works Policy #2-11, Flow Control shall be provided except that "a forested land
cover" shall be replaced with "the existing site conditions" provided that there are no
downstream issues like increased CSO's and /or basement flooding.
