Please review and respond to the comments below. These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2012 International Building Code (IBC), the 2012 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2012 International Mechanical Code (IMC), and the 2012 International Energy Conservation (IECC), as amended by the State of Washington and adopted by the city of Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is the 2009 ��Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal ADA regulations and standards may be more restrictive. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of construction documents reflecting the corrections requested. 1. Please provide an overall building floor plan that shows in which tenant space the proposed work will occur. 2. Is the space where the proposed work is to be done currently a hair salon? If not, please provide the nature of the occupancy in existence prior to the salon. 3. Please provide a floor plan (see attached example). Indicate what is existing and what will be new (if anything). 4. Please include the construction type of the building and whether the space has a fire sprinkler system and/or a monitored fire detection system. 5. IBC chapter 29 requires a restroom. 6. The plans should indicate the intent of compliance with IMC 403.2.1, exception 3 which prohibits the recirculation of air in beauty salons. If you have any questions, please call me at 425-257-7264.
