• <br />Performance Standards <br />Performance standards have been established to assess the success of the mitigation <br />project in achieving the stated goals. Performance standards are as follows: <br />Plant Survival <br />Year 1 Monitoring <br />Success Standard: 100 percent survival of planted species <br />No greater than 20 percent coverage of invasive species <br />Year 2 Monitoring <br />Success Standard: 90 percent survival of planted species <br />No greater than 20 percent coverage of invasive species <br />Year 3 Monitoring <br />Success Standard: Minimum 35 percent aerial coverage of planted species <br />No greater than 20 percent coverage of invasive species <br />Year 5 Monitoring <br />Success Standard: Minimum 50 percent aerial coverage of planted species <br />No greater than 10 percent coverage of invasive species <br />In any monitored year, naturally occurring native species shall count toward the overall <br />percent coverage of native species. <br />Wildlife Habitat <br />During each monitoring visit, the presence of any wildlife using the site should be noted. <br />Monitorinq Protocol <br />This mitigation project will be monitored for five years following completion and approval <br />of the installed plan. Monitoring will be conducted by the contracted wetland <br />professional or other qualified person. <br />During the site visit for the compliance letter, photo points shall be established in the <br />buffer enhancement area. Pictures should show a general overview of the mitigation <br />area. These photo points shall be recorded and used during each monitoring visit. <br />It is assumed that the entire mitigation plan will be installed upon project approval and <br />will be on a common monitoring schedule.
