RESOLUTION NO. 5897 OP:aa <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a sole source purchase of <br /> Headworks Mahr Bar Screens from Treatment Equipment Company. <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility requires the replacement of two <br /> existing bar screens; and <br /> WHEREAS, Headworks Inc produces the only bar screens that match existing equipment, and <br /> are identical to the units which have been installed since 2001; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Headworks Mahr 1/4"Automatic Mechanical Bar Screens have the same unique <br /> operational features required by the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility which includes <br /> screening mesh size, high flow capacity, telemetry requirements and alignment angles; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Headworks Mahr Bar Screens have the same spare parts inventory, and <br /> maintenance protocols as the existing equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS, Treatment Equipment Company, is the sole distributor of Headworks Bar Screens <br /> in the Northwest Region; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying <br /> mechanical bar screens that meet the City's needs and are compatible with existing equipment, <br /> the City hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of <br /> Headworks Mahr Bar Screens from Treatment Equipment Company. <br /> //� <br /> y �/ <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 9th da of May , 2007. <br /> #11P <br /> "Atm..
