• <br /> • <br /> • <br /> /1Poli /"MA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5865 <br /> WHEREAS, several times a year the city of Everett is presented with <br /> requests for place names or name changes for buildings, streets, facilities, places, <br /> or natural features within the corporate city limits or owned by the city of Everett, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, there has never been a formal policy in place establishing <br /> procedure and criteria for the selection of place names, and <br /> WHEREAS, it appears in the best interests of the city of Everett to establish <br /> an official city policy on place names and name changes; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT: <br /> That the official city policy on place names and name changes shall be <br /> established, which policy shall be substantially in the form of the document <br /> entitled, "Policy on Place Names and Name Changes", a true copy of which is on <br /> file in the Office of the City Clerk and by this referee •- .ted herein as <br /> though fully set forth. <br /> Council Member Introducing Resolution <br /> Adopted this 7th day of February, a i . <br /> Coun Sil=r <br />
