Expenditure Required $ 7,700 Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $ 7,700 148-5454200000410 Additional Required $ -0- SUMMARY STATEMENT: According to EMC 2.95.040, appropriations from the Municipal Arts Fund shall be made by the City Council based on recommendations made by the Cultural Commission to the Mayor. The source of the 1% for Arts Projects fund is a percentage allocation from municipal construction projects. The Cultural Commission wishes to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with noted NW Artist Merrilee Moore for the purchase and installation of a sculpture currently on loan at the Evergreen Area Arboretum entitled Clarity. Clarity is a 10-foot stainless steel and glass sculpture. It is secured on a 1-foot stainless steel pedestal bolted to 5ft x 3ft x 3ft (Height x Width x Depth) core-ten (weathering steel) base with 5/8-inch anchor bolts. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to Sign a Professional Services Agreement with Merrilee Moore for the purchase and installation of the sculpture Clarity at the Evergreen Area Arboretum funded by 1% for the Arts Projects.
