J <br /> • <br /> 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A Resolution Placing the <br /> Fratt Mansion <br /> 1725 Grand Avenue <br /> on the <br /> Everett Register of Historic Places <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted Ordinance 1355-87 (amended 1956-93) <br /> authorizing the Everett Historical Commission to consider the merits of properties for <br /> placement on the Everett Register of Historic Places and to recommend to City Council <br /> that properties be placed on the Everett Register; and <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of the Fratt Mansion requested the Everett Historical <br /> Commission to consider the house for inclusion in the Everett Register of Historic Places; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission reviewed the request, and at a public <br /> hearing determined that the Fratt Mansion is at least 50 years old and meets the Everett <br /> Register Criteria: <br /> • Embodies distinctive architectural characteristics of a type, period and style of <br /> construction; <br /> • Exemplifies special elements of the city's cultural, economic and architectural <br /> history; and <br /> • Is associated with the lives of persons significant to local history; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Historical Commission found the renovation and restoration <br /> work accomplished by the owners to be consistent with the Secretary of Interior <br /> Standards for Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Historic Properties; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. The Everett City Council concurs with the Everett Historical Commission <br /> recommendation to place the Fratt Mansion on the Everett Register of Historical <br /> Places. <br /> A. 8 <br />
