Initially, one machine will be installed. It will dispense <br /> liquid refreshments. The shelter will receive 25%of the gross sales value as compensation for providing <br /> vending machine space. Revenue will be deposited into Fund 151 (also known as the Fund for Animals). <br /> This fund helps to pay for the purchasing and distribution of animal welfare and responsible pet ownership <br /> educational material, animal medical care and to help offset animal spay and neuter cost for low income <br /> households. <br /> The agreement expires March 31, 2006. Either party may terminate the agreement upon sixty(60) day <br /> notice, in writing,to the other party. <br /> Coca-Cola Enterprises of Marysville was one of three firms contacted regarding the installation and <br /> operation of one or more vending machines at the animal shelter. Two firms inspected the site. Only Coca <br /> Cola Enterprises of Marysville provided a proposal to the city. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Vending <br /> Machine Agreement with Coca-Cola Enterprises of Marysville for the provision and servicing of one or more <br /> vending machines at the Everett Animal Shelter. <br /> 2 4 <br />
