OP <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3436-15 <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing an Everett Water Utility Committee and repealing <br /> Ordinance No. 1604-89 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett water system serves not only customers within the City <br /> of Everett but also customers outside the City of Everett in Snohomish County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds that future improvements to the <br /> Everett Water System will require coordination and cooperation with other water customers in <br /> Snohomish County; <br /> WHEREAS, coordinated planning of service boundaries and other major facilities can be <br /> most effectively achieved by cooperation between all users. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 1. The Everett Water Utility Committee (EWUC) for the Everett water system is <br /> hereby established for the purpose of advising the City Council and Staff of the <br /> City of Everett regarding the planning, financing, and implementation for future <br /> major capital improvements to the Everett water system which affect water <br /> service to regional customers outside the City of Everett, including but not limited <br /> to determination of service areas, location, sizing, and other input regarding <br /> capital facilities. <br /> 2. This committee shall be an informal agency advisory committee, not established <br /> pursuant to Article V of the Everett City Charter. Membership shall consist of <br /> one representative from each of the following agencies and customers of the <br /> Everett water system: <br /> Washington Department of Health <br /> Snohomish Health District <br /> Snohomish County <br /> Water Utilities Coordinating Coma ittee for the North Snohomish County <br /> Coordinated Water System Plan. <br />
