December 21, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., December 21, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, and Stonecipher were present. Council <br /> Member Tuohy was excused. <br /> Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 14, 2016, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Moore abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson commented on his participation at Snohomish <br /> County's National Homeless Person's Memorial Day earlier in the evening <br /> and recognized the loss of homeless people over the last year and <br /> thanked the Council for supporting low barrier housing. <br /> APPOINTMENT <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Franklin, to concur with the following appointment: <br /> Interim Municipal Court Judge <br /> Appointment of Judge Thomas Wynne as the interim Municipal <br /> Court Judge to fill the vacancy left by Judge Odell's retirement. <br /> Judge Laura Van Slyck introduced Judge Wynne and explained his <br /> qualifications for the position. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Tuohy who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 409 <br />
