December 28, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., December 28, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> William E. Moore Historic City Hall, President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Member Franklin was excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 21, 2016, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Tuohy abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Fire Chief Murray Gordon introduced four new Everett firefighters: Alex <br /> Hornbeck, Sam Lowe, Jesse Stacy, and Chris Stepanski. Captain Mike <br /> Calvert presented the new firefighters with their badges. <br /> Chief Gordon announced that Captain Mike Calvert has been selected as <br /> the new Assistant Chief of operations by newly appointed Fire Chief Hicks. <br /> Assistant Fire Chief Calvert stated he was honored to accept the <br /> appointment and thankful for the opportunity. <br /> APPOINTMENTS/REAPPOINTMENTS <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to concur with the following appointments: <br /> Tree Committee <br /> Appointment of Eric Gilmore to Position 2 for the reminder of a six- <br /> year term ending December 31, 2020. <br /> Reappointment of Laura McMurray to Position 5 for a six-year term <br /> ending December 31, 2022. <br /> 420 <br />
