We will however maintain it as active or can conduct a final inspection of the fence
to close the permit file if the structure has been completed.
Ted
From: Cynthia Keirsey
Sent: Tuesday, October 06, 2015 9:49 AM
To: Grace Pollard; Ted Budden
Subject: Lot under development at 3601 Smith street, graffiti on new fence
Grace & Ted,
I responded to a graffiti complaint at 3601 Smith Street to find a new fence, a shipping container and the sidewalk all
have graffiti on them. A search of records revealed the tow yard owner Ron Hansen applied for and was granted SEPA
approval to develop a new office use on the property in 2005 and recently obtained a 8' fence permit # B1503-018. He
is advertising sale of shipping containers and has placed a container on the lot. Questions include:
Is the fence permit that was issued 3-23-018 expired?
Is the shipping container sales and placement on the container on the lot an approved use on the property? Is
the SEPA approved in 2005 still valid?
Please let me know. Mr. Hansen is quite upset and has refused to remove the graffiti until the city solves the homeless
problems around his property.
Cindy K
