This calculator will calculate heatinq loads onlv. ACCA procedures for sizina coolina svstems should be used to determine coolinq
loads.
The glazing (window) and door portion of this calculator assumes the installed glazing and door products have an area weighted average U-factor of
0.30. The incorporated insulation requirements are the minimum prescriptive amounts specified by the 2012 WSEC.
Pease fill out all of the green drop-downs and boxes that are appiicable to your project. As you make selections in the drop-downs for each section,
some values will be calculated for you. If you do not see the selection you need in the drop-down options, please call the WSU Energy Extension
Program at (360) 956-2042 for assistance.
Project lnformation Confact Information
Unit El Townhome Polygon NorthwesY
Siiver Lake Townhomes Alaina Robertson
Everett, Washin ton j425) 606-0005
H@atl I1C SySt@Il1 TyE7@: OO Forced Air Fumace Q Heat Pump
To see detailed instructions for each section, place your cursor on the word "Instructions".
Desiqn Temperature
r;>trc«tions Design Temperature Difference (4T)
_ _ .__ _._ _-- _
Everett JC
 _ _ _. .. _ _ ...___ . . _ _ ... .: OT = Indoor (70 degreesJ - Outdoor Design 7emp
Area of Buildinq
Conditioned Floor Area
i"Sruct°"5 Conditioned Floor Area (sq ft)
Average Ceiling Height
iirs2rucifens qverage Ceiling Height (ft)
Glazinq and Doors
InsFnctions
Insulation
Attic
_ _. _
iti5il'UC60R> r_..—:... ._—_.... ..._.___.— "______ .._.._ ...:`
` - R-44 :` . i
T
Single Rafter or Joist Vaulted Ceilings
IruYructios _-__ --_
No Vaul[ed CelOngs In this proJect '
-  _w ;
Above Grade Walls aee Freure r
insYructions — --- --=Y . - +
R21 J

Floors
_ _ .__ ___._
ii75tfUCiI0715 '_'"_' ' ___ . _.__ ._ .
%
 ,; R-30 `
Below Grade WaUs s Frgure J
_ __ _ _ ____ _.__ . ___
Insiructic:> i .._-_._..__..__.._.._._____.._._ _._. _.._..,___._.
No Betow Grade Walls in thls pro)Kt :
 ,:::._.  .....`*;e45+iW
Slab Below Grade rsee Fare a
_ _ __.__
is.r,,to„5 — — --- ----- ------ -- —
ho Slab Below Grade in this proe[t. „,I
I .z s-,, :
Slab on Grade see Fcre n
irsrui:tinns :::. _ : _.:______-__ .__;_.: __..__—
R-10 Peimeter !;. ,
;, ,.';-
Location of Ducts
irstrcciions _ __ _ _. _._.._ __. .
 [ondiuoned Space w ..
 —
Fiqure 1.

, ',
 Above Grode
,,
.
