Expenditure Proposed: $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount in Current Budget for this Item: $ -0- Additional Amount Requested: $ -0- SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Bayside Park Master Plan Draft is the culmination of planning and design development. The Master Plan was developed in coordination with the Port of Everett, the Everett Historical Commission, and the Bayside Neighborhood. The Plan provides improved connections to Grand Avenue, the Port and waterfront, walking trails, viewpoints, places to picnic as well as a Community Gathering Space. Improved landscaping and street trees will provide noise reduction as well as natural aesthetics. SEPA was completed on September 13, 2002 and a Public Hearing was held April 23 resulting in approval by the Parks Commission and a recommendation to City Council to adopt the proposed Master Plan. With the Master Plan adopted, construction of phase 1 is scheduled for Summer 2003. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt the proposed Bayside Park Master Plan as recommended by the Parks Commission. 8
