The Master <br /> Plan was developed in coordination with the Port of Everett, the Everett Historical Commission, and the <br /> Bayside Neighborhood. The Plan provides improved connections to Grand Avenue, the Port and <br /> waterfront, walking trails, viewpoints, places to picnic as well as a Community Gathering Space. <br /> Improved landscaping and street trees will provide noise reduction as well as natural aesthetics. SEPA was <br /> completed on September 13, 2002 and a Public Hearing was held April 23 resulting in approval by the <br /> Parks Commission and a recommendation to City Council to adopt the proposed Master Plan. With the <br /> Master Plan adopted, construction of phase 1 is scheduled for Summer 2003. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt the proposed Bayside Park Master Plan as recommended by the Parks Commission. <br /> 8 <br />
