The Committee started meeting in February 2002 and recommended approval of the plan in November, <br /> 2002. The Committee held several public workshops and solicited public input.The plan was forwarded to Planning <br /> Commission and the Board of Park Commissioners in March,2003. On April 15,2003,the Board of Park Commissioners <br /> recommended approval of the Plan. Also on April 15,2003,Planning Commission held a public hearing and recommended <br /> approval of the plan with some revisions. <br /> The Plan includes a system of trails along Everett's Port Gardner Bay shoreline from Mukilteo to Pigeon Creek No. 1 and up <br /> through the Port of Everett properties;a series of continuous trail segments along the Snohomish River;trails on Smith and <br /> Spencer Islands;and trails around Silver Lake. <br /> Background documentation,including Exhibit A to the Ordinance-The Shoreline Public Access Plan, SEPA DNS and <br /> environmental checklist,Planning Commission Resolution and Minutes,and public comments is available in the City Council <br /> office. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Approve the Ordinance adopting the Shoreline Public Access <br /> Plan,and amending the Everett Comprehensive Plan,Amending Ordinance No.2021-94. <br /> 96 <br />
