The heat and moisture buildup in these areas contributes to the degradation of the timber roof structure. The Parks and Recreation Department operates and maintains complex mechanical systems at the Swim Center. "On-call" services are periodically needed for design of minor modifications or repairs to the system. The Rice Group has extensive experience with the Swim Center's unique mechanical systems. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Rice Group, Inc for mechanical engineering, construction administration and "on-call" services related to projects at the Forest Park Swim Center in the amount of$27,855.00. 22
