Ta compfete our <br />study. �ve re��iewed existin� soils data summarized in the referenced report and completed a geola�ic <br />reconnaissance of the property to obsen�e existing sitc and soil conditions. This report sutnmarizes tl�e results of <br />our study and provides geotechnica] engineering recorx�rnendati�ms for projcct design and construction. <br />PRO,TEC1' DLSCRIPTION <br />The project ���ill consist of constructing an addition onto the south«rest side of the existing intec buildin�. Tile <br />footprint of the addition �viIl cover ar� area of appraximately 9b5 square feet. Based on our discussions, we <br />uj�derstand the addition ti��iil hause azl autoclavc that �vill llave a total �veight of� 14fl,000 pounds. 1'his eyuipinent <br />�vill be supported on a 12-ine}� tllick structut�al reinf�orced conerete s1ab. The structure }�ousing the equipment �vi13 <br />be constructed usiiag masa►u'Y block with steel tniss ro�f framict�. As we understand, the f7oor grade for tl�e neut <br />additian will cither match ihe existing f7oor gradr; or ��riIl be lc����er by about faur feet. For tk�e former some <br />stnictural fill rnaterial will be required to raise Ihe existzng �rade �n the eastern partian of the additiozi to establish <br />this design elevation. <br />Tlie addition area is located adjacent the crest a steep sotith-facing slope. The slope is inclined at a�radient of <br />about 1.5:1 (Hoi-izontal:Vei-tical} with elevation relief of about 40 feet from crest to toe.
