' h - <br /> EXHIBIT A 1 0 <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 1. Work to Be Performed <br /> GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> 1. Prepare a space plans,designs,and specifications to relocate parts room supplies and <br /> construct a private 10' X 12' office within the parts storage area of the Motor Vehicle <br /> Division on 3200 Cedar Street. The office shall include a new window and closet. <br /> 2. Research products, select a product, and prepare designs and specifications to install lift for <br /> transporting parts to and from the parts room mezzanine. <br /> PHASE 1 — DESIGN AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> 1. Obtain and review all existing record documents(as-builts). <br /> 2. Visit the site and field-verify existing conditions as required;measure and provide as-built <br /> drawings of the space identified for the work. <br /> 3. Meet with the appropriate staff in Facilities and/or MVD and discuss the programming <br /> needs, <br /> 4. Research various options(including costs)for moving parts vertically(lifts,dumbwaiters, <br /> etc.)and present findings and recommendations to staff. <br /> 5. Develop a set of preliminary drawings and specifications for relocating parts room supplies, <br /> construction of a new office,and installation of a parts room lift. (Include plan,schedules, <br /> sections,etc.)for presentation to staff for approval. Include an initial cost estimate for the <br /> work. <br /> 6. Incorporate staffs preference for moving parts into the drawings. <br /> 7. Refine and complete the drawings and specifications into a set of Contract Documents for <br /> bidding,permit application,and construction purposes. <br /> 8. Contract Documents shall include engineering designs, specifications and other documents <br /> (including Architectural, structural, and electrical),as required using AutoCAD and <br /> Microsoft Word. One(1)hard copy and one(1)electronic copy will be provided <br /> Mechanical design is not required, as it is understood that heating will be accomplished with <br /> electric heaters. <br /> 9. Complete work as outlined above by August 29, 2003 <br /> PHASE 2 — BIDDING AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> 1. Assist the Facilities Project Manager in answering bidders' questions during the bid period. <br /> 2. Produce any supplemental drawings needed during the bid period. <br /> 3. Attend a Pre-Construction Meeting with the Contractor and City staff. <br /> 4. Review all Contractor submittals during construction. <br /> 5. Visit the site as requested by City staff to observe the progress of the work. <br /> 6. Assist City staff in answering the Contractor' questions. <br /> 7. Produce supplemental drawings as needed. <br /> 8. Complete work as required supporting bid and construction process.
