RESOLUTION NO. 6850 �-� A RESOLUTION concerning 2015 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of CDBG, HOME and 2060 Housing Trust Funds and adoption of the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs, and Everett is estimated to receive $837,407 for 2014; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and. WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for CDBG funds, HOME funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the above committee; and WHEREAS, the 2015 to 2019 Consolidated Plan and 2015 Annual Action Plan has been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority, Snohomish County Housing Authority, Snohomish County, the City of Marysville and local non-profit service providers; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2015 Public Service Projects Recommended Advocates for the Rights of Citizens (CDBG) $10,500 Independent Living—Housing Support Community Health Center(CDBG) $15,000 Adult Dental Care Assistance League (CDBG) Operation School Bell $12,500 Catholic Community Services (CDBG) $3,000 Volunteer Transportation Snohomish County Legal Services (CDBG) $8,000 Housing Justice Project
