Here is a summary of my observations and actions. The detached garage building at this location has deteriorated to the extent that the roof structure of the building has partially collapsed. The remaining portion of the structure is likely to collapse at any time. It is my determination that this building is a Dangerous Structure as defined by section 108.5 of the International Property Maintenance Code. I have posted a Dangerous Structure placard on the building and informed the owner/occupant of the premises in person of my actions and findings. I stated to the owner that the city expects a prompt response by him to abate the dangerous conditions. I also explained to the owner that you would likely be in contact with him about this matter and that more likely than not a Violation Citation would be issued. Copies of my reports and postings will be entered into the CRW system. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
