s <br /> OP•44 :g1 <br /> RESOLUTION 5766 <br /> A JOINT RESOLUTION BETWEEN THE CITY OF EVERETT AND <br /> THE EVERETT PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT NAMING THE <br /> EDWARD D. HANSEN CONFERENCE CENTER <br /> WHEREAS, Edward D. Hansen served with distinction as mayor of the City of Everett <br /> from 1994 to 2002; and <br /> WHEREAS, Edward D. Hansen provided visionary leadership that resulted in the <br /> creation of the Everett Events Center, which hosts a 10,000 seat arena, community ice rink <br /> and conference center; and <br /> WHEREAS, Edward D. Hansen served on the founding Board of Directors of the <br /> Everett Public Facilities District from 2001 to 2003; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Events Center has proved to be a success, resulting in the <br /> revitalization of the central business district and renewed civic pride; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is most appropriate that the Conference Center bear the name of <br /> Edward D. Hansen, in recognition of his outstanding and remarkable leadership. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> The Conference Center at the Everett Events Center shall be hereafter named the: <br /> EDWARD D.
