Chapter 5.84 MOBILE FOOL) UNITS Page 1 of 3 <br /> Chapter 5.84 <br /> MOBILE FOOD UNITS <br /> Sections: <br /> 5.84.010 Mobile unit defined. <br /> 5.84.020 Food preparation license required. <br /> 5.84.030 Food sale license required. <br /> 5.84.040 License application—Bond. <br /> 5.84.050 Investigation of applicant. <br /> 5.84.060 License fee. <br /> 5.84.070 Operating locations. <br /> 5.84.080 Compliance with all regulations. <br /> 5.84.090 Prohibited locations. <br /> 5.84.010 Mobile unit defined. <br /> A mobile unit shall be defined as a vehicle which can be moved upon the public streets and <br /> sidewalks, including but not limited to trucks, automobiles, trailers. (Ord. 295-74 Ch. 21 § 3, 1974) <br /> 5.84.020 Food preparation license required. <br /> No person, firm or corporation shall engage in the preparation of edible merchandise in or on any <br /> mobile unit while on the public streets and on public property, unless he shall have first obtained and <br /> have in full force and effect a license for each mobile unit used for said purpose, issued by the city <br /> clerk of the city. (Ord. 295-74 Ch. 21 § 1, 1974) <br /> 5.84.030 Food sale license required. <br /> No person, firm or corporation shall sell or cause to be sold edible merchandise from a mobile unit to <br /> persons on the public streets, sidewalks and public property unless he shall have first obtained and <br /> have in full force and effect, a license for each mobile unit used for said purpose, issued by the city <br /> clerk of the city. (Ord. 295-74 Ch. 21 §2, 1974) <br /> 5.84.040 License application—Bond. <br /> The applicant shall file application with the city clerk upon forms prepared by the city clerk, together <br /> with a sum of one hundred dollars as a cash bond, conditioned that the applicant will not allow refuse <br /> and waste to accumulate upon the streets and sidewalks at or adjacent to the mobile unit, and <br /> conditioned further that in the event it becomes necessary for the city to sweep or otherwise collect <br /> refuse resulting from such operation, that the cost of such work shall be charged against the bond <br /> and the license shall be terminated, unless the bond is maintained at one hundred dollars. (Ord. 295- <br /> 74 Ch. 21 §4, 1974) <br /> 5.84.050 Investigation of applicant. <br /> The city clerk, upon receipt of application, shall forward the same to Snohomish health district for <br /> investigation. Said investigation shall be completed and license either issued or rejected by the city <br /> clerk within thirty days of receipt of application.
