The Lodging Tax <br /> Committee met on August 25, 2003 and September 15,2003. The minutes of those meetings were <br /> previously distributed to Council. At its September 15, 2003 meeting the recommendations set forth below <br /> were made by the Committee to the Council. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt the recommendations of the Lodging <br /> Tax Advisory.Committee regarding allocation of current Lodging Tax revenues: <br /> "That the Budget and Finance Committee seek proposals for available Hotel Motel Tax funds <br /> including the$17,000 allocated for Visitor Information Bureau <br /> That the.Budget and Finance Committee, when reviewing the proposals in response to the RFP <br /> evaluate a mix of activities and financial information including overall marketing of space, the criteria for <br /> funds would also include a review of reviewed, audited or compiled financial statements from prior years." <br /> 2 <br />
