The Lodging Tax Committee met on August 25, 2003 and September 15,2003. The minutes of those meetings were previously distributed to Council. At its September 15, 2003 meeting the recommendations set forth below were made by the Committee to the Council. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt the recommendations of the Lodging Tax Advisory.Committee regarding allocation of current Lodging Tax revenues: "That the Budget and Finance Committee seek proposals for available Hotel Motel Tax funds including the$17,000 allocated for Visitor Information Bureau That the.Budget and Finance Committee, when reviewing the proposals in response to the RFP evaluate a mix of activities and financial information including overall marketing of space, the criteria for funds would also include a review of reviewed, audited or compiled financial statements from prior years." 2
