v�ri CJ CJr b Nl TO:8693 P: 1" = <br /> ETURN TO FXh;0-/9 <br /> ftl1EP TT CITY CLERK ORIGINALO2 Wtmore <br /> Everett, WA 98201 <br /> �1TY-COUNTY CONSOLIDgTEp <br /> EVIDENCE CONTROL UNIT CONTRACT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, as authorized by 39.34.080 RCW, is made and entered into by and <br /> between SNOHOMISH COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of Washington (the <br /> County), and the CITY OF EVERETT, a political subdivision of the State of Washington <br /> (the City), collectively referred to hereinafter as the Parties. <br /> WITNES SETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett and Snohomish County each operate their own Evidence <br /> Control Unit in support of their respective law enforcement agencies; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Evidence Control Units of both parties do not fully meet the needs of the <br /> respective law enforcement agencies they support; and <br /> WHEREAS, the combined resources of each Evidence Control Unit would fully meet the <br /> needs of both law enforcement agencies in a more effective and efficient manner; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett and Snohomish County desire to combine their respective <br /> Evidence Control Units into a single unit in order to maximize local resources including <br /> personnel and facilities, reduce duplication of services, and to share resources in order to <br /> accomplish greater local efficiencies without diminishing effectiveness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett and Snohomish County agree that their combined effort <br /> will provide a greater benefit to their respective citizens than either party could provide by <br /> itself; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants, conditions, performances, and <br /> promises hereinafter contained, the parties agree as follows: <br /> . Purpose <br /> The purpose of this agreement is to consolidate the Evidence Control Units of the <br /> City of Everett and Snohomish County into a single combined Evidence Control <br /> Unit that will provide all evidence control services to both the Everett Police <br /> Department and the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office. The combined Evidence <br /> Control Unit shall occupy the space presently leased by the City in the Medical <br /> Dental Building at 2730 Colby in Everett as evidenced in the lease that is attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. The parties recognize <br /> that the space for the consolidated Evidence Control Unit is the leased space <br /> identified in Exhibit A.
