Project: 5 <br /> Change Order no. <br /> Change Order Effective Date: <br /> The following bid items#74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81 & 83 are all being added to the contract as a result <br /> of the redesigned structural soil nail wall. The redesign was necessary do to inadequate right-of-way <br /> needed to install the original designed CIP structural wall. These nine new bid items will constitute any <br /> and all new bid item costs associated with this redesigned work. It also includes any and all costs <br /> associated with potential impacts resulting from this redesigned structural soil nail wall. The payment of <br /> dollars under these nine bid items constitute any and all compensation to Wilder Construction Company <br /> for the work required in construction of the new structural soil nail wall.No delay claim or additional <br /> claim for project overhead,home office overhead,profit,bonding and insurance will be allowed as it is <br /> understood that these costs are included in the above agreed upon nine items. <br /> Item#74—Soil Nail Wall. This square footage bid item is to pay for all the labor,equipment and <br /> materials to construct the structural soil nail wall as designed by GeoEngineers revised"For Construction" <br /> drawing sheets 1 thru 4 of 4,dated 10-21-03. Quantification of the total square footage of structural soil <br /> nail wall will be measured by Perteet Engineers. <br /> Item#75—Supervision&Temporary Facility. This cost per week bid item is to pay for the additional <br /> supervision and temporary facility impact costs necessary as a result of the delay in being able to build this <br /> structural wall during the normal course of the project time line. <br /> Item#76—Survey and Final Cleanup. This lump sum bid item includes all survey and final cleanup <br /> costs associated with the revised design for the structural soil nail wall. <br /> Item#77—Traffic Control Supervisor. This bid item pays for the time during each day the flagger <br /> performs traffic control supervisory duties. This bid item is added to cover only the additional time line <br /> being added as a result of the late start in construction of the structural soil nail wall. <br /> Item#78—Quarry Spalls. This bid item on a per ton basis is being added to pay for quarry spalls <br /> placement on the slope above and behind the structural soil nail wall for stabilization purposes. <br /> Item#79—Wilder Assistance to Malcolm. This bid item is for the labor and equipment effort required of <br /> Wilder Construction Company to assist their subcontractor,Malcolm Drilling,during the soil nail and <br /> shotcrete installation phase of the work. <br /> Item#80—TESC. This bid item is a force account bid item for temporary erosion and sedimentation <br /> control measures needed during excavation of the soils vertical face. Flash coating,wherein a thin layer of <br /> shotcrete is placed upon the soil face to control soil sloughing, for safety purposes,was used on this project <br /> and paid for by this bid item. <br /> Item#81-Electrical Costs Due to Structural Wall Change. This lump sum bid item is the result of the <br /> redesigned structural soil nail wall. Original plans called for the existing luminaries to be installed above <br /> and behind the original CIP structural wall. The face of the new structural soil nail wall will be further east <br /> then the original wall. This will allow placement of the 4-each luminaries along the wall to be installed in <br /> front of the wall and thus not encroach the 6-foot sidewalk width. Four each taller luminaire poles are <br /> required for this change. The four each original luminaries will be turned over to the City. Work change <br /> directive#020 will be written to cover these costs. <br /> Item#82—6'High, 1"x6"Cedar Fence. This bid item is being added as a result of Right-of-Entry <br /> agreements made between the City of Everett&property owners adjacent to the structural soil nail wall. <br /> Item#83—Additional Shotcrete Concrete. This lump sum bid item is being added to the contract to <br /> cover the a portion of the additional shotcrete concrete used over and above that anticipated in the bid by <br /> Wilder and Malcolm Construction. A portion of this additional concrete was required as a result of <br /> exposing an unknown sanitary sewer manhole in the location of the new structural soil nail wall. <br /> Exhibit A 1.9 <br /> Page l0 of 11 <br />
