4'77- <br /> Police Code Enforcement Unit <br /> Summary of Activities <br /> 1611 24th Street <br /> 07/13/12: Violation Citation is issued for violations of the City's EMC for allowing the <br /> residential and accessory structures on the property to become dangerous and <br /> unfit for human habitation and become an attractive nuisance, for failing to <br /> remove the graffiti on the exterior wall of the residential structure and allowing <br /> the vegetation to exceed the allowed height as defined by the code. <br /> 07/13/12: The Violation Citation is posted on the property. <br /> 07/13/12: The City posted the property as condemned <br /> 07/31/12: Deadline for corrective action to apply for required City permits to demolish <br /> residential and accessory structures or secure the residential structure from <br /> trespass and to remove the graffiti and overgrown vegetation. <br /> 09/01/12: Deadline for corrective action to demolish the accessory structure on the property. <br /> 10/01/12: Deadline for corrective action to demolish the residential structure and remove all <br /> construction debris from property. <br /> 01/01/13: Deadline for corrective action to complete repairs to the residential structure and <br /> to obtain final inspections and approvals from the City of Everett Building <br /> Division. <br /> 08/09/12: Hearing. Hearing Examiner sets August 17, 2012 to obtain all required City <br /> permits to demolish the residential and accessory structures or repair the <br /> residential structure and to remove the graffiti and overgrown vegetation from the <br /> property. Demolition of the residential structure was to be completed by October <br /> 31, 2012 or work to repair the residential structure was to be completed by <br /> January 1, 2013. Demolition of the accessory structure was to be completed by <br /> September 17, 2012. A fine of$4,500.00 was imposed for violations of IPMC <br /> 108.1.5; IPMC 108.1.1; IPMC 108.1.3; IPMC 304.1.1; IPMC 304.7; IPMC 304.2; <br /> IPMC 304.6 and EMC 8.20.020(E)(F). <br /> 08/17/12: Inspection of the structure revealed it to be unlawful and unsafe for occupancy. <br /> 08/20/12: Posted 30 day warning letter of intent to abate violations on property. <br /> 08/29/12: Respondent filed appeal of Hearing Examiner Order with Snohomish County <br /> Superior Court. <br /> 12/18/12: Motion to Dismiss Respondent LUPA appeal filed in Snohomish County Superior <br /> Court. <br /> 06/18/14: City's motion for summary judgment and warrant of abatement granted. <br /> 08/27/14: Respondents motion for a new trial was denied. <br /> 08/28/14: Warning letter of intent to abate issued and posted. <br /> 09/04/14: Abatement completed by Loomis Construction. <br /> 09/04/14: Reposted condemnation placards on property. <br /> 11/10/14: Notice of abatement cost sent via regular, certified mail and posting. <br />
