April 29, 2015
ACTION ITEMS:
COUNCIL BILL NO. 1504-10
THIRD AND FINAL READING:
AN ORDINANCE approving the appropriations of the 2015
revised City of Everett budget and amending Ordinance No.
3414-14
Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member
Roberts, that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council
Bill No. 1504-10.
City Attorney Iles addressed issues brought forth by Shelley Weyer
regarding the XFINITY scoreboard. He remarked that there is nothing
illegal about the city of Everett entering into an interlocal agreement with
the Public Facilities District for a loan. It is clearly within the city's
framework to do so. Attorney Iles also noted that Ms. Weyer's question
related to the need for three readings applies to ordinances but does not
apply to the interlocal agreement for acquisition of the scoreboard.
The City Clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the
ordinance.
AYES: Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher,
Tuohy
NAYS: None
Ordinance No. 3435-15 adopted.
LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT — MARCO ORTIZ
Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member
Tuohy, to approve the Lawsuit Settlement with Marco Ortiz in the
amount of $105,000.00.
124
