This project will construct pedestrian walkway improvements on the east side of Colby <br /> Avenue from 44th Street to 41st Street. The project includes the widening and construction of roughly 1,384 <br /> linear feet of sidewalk improvement, curb ramps, curb and gutter, landscaping, retaining wall, reconstruction <br /> of existing bus stop and street lights, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project. <br /> City Council previously authorized a call for bids for this project on October 6, 2004. However, subsequent <br /> changes to the specifications have prevented the original advertisement from being published on the date <br /> prescribed in the Council's previous authorization. We are,therefore, caused to seek Council's authorization <br /> to advertise the revised bid package. <br /> The funding sources for this contract are as follows: <br /> Federal Grant $52,164.00 <br /> CIP 3 25,963.00 <br /> Fund 301 —Arterial Streets 25,963.00 <br /> Total $104,090.00 <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the call for bids for the Interurban Trail Northern Extension, Stage II, Phase 2 project. <br /> W02857 2-Bid Call.doc i 9 <br />
