Activities/Project Description <br /> The Contractor will be responsible for administering the Smoke Alarms program in a manner <br /> satisfactory to the City and consistent with any standards required as a condition of providing these <br /> funds. Such program will include the following activities eligible under the Community Development <br /> Block Grant Program: <br /> Program Delivery <br /> Activity: <br /> [Complete description of activity to be undertaken including what projects,products or services are to be performed, where <br /> they are to be provided, for whom they are to be provided, how they are to be provided] <br /> We will install smoke alarms for any senior and/or disabled <br /> resident of the City of Everett. The alarms used will be KIDDE <br /> model 0916 which have 10 year batteries.They will be installed as <br /> recommended by State of Wa. Dept of Health Safe Families <br /> Smoke Alarm Project. Installations will be initiated by at least 3 <br /> different methods. <br /> 1. As Senior Safety goes about providing it's usual home <br /> safety services, a review of the need for smoke detectors will be <br /> done and alarms will be installed as needed. <br /> 2. Senior Safety will promote the alarm program to other <br /> human service providers plus the local Senior Center to encourage <br /> coverage for target populations. <br /> 3. Senior Safety will place ads in local newspapers <br /> promoting the program. <br /> A-1 43 <br />
