Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $ -0- Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: A public hearing was held on July 21st for the proposed vacation of 39th Street between the limits of Hoyt Avenue and Rucker Avenue and a portion of the alley located north of 39th Street.The vacation is requested by the Everett Clinic for expansion purposes including a new medical office building and a parking garage north of and adjacent to the existing parking garage (see attached drawing). The proposed vacation of 39th Street and the portion of the alley to the north contain an area of approximately 17,372.2 which will be offset in part by the dedication of property needed to connect the alley to Hoyt Avenue. The subject vacation(s) are within the B-2 (Community Business) and the R-4 Multi-Family High Density) Zones There was no testimony at the public hearing opposing the proposed 39th Street vacation, however there was concern by the Physicians Eye Clinic regarding the outcome of an earlier alley vacation. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Reading of the ordinance vacating 39th Street between the limits of Hoyt Avenue and Rucker Avenue 20
