Of concern at the public hearing were
issues relating to the interrelationship of the Everett Clinic Campus and the
adjacent Physicians' Eye Clinic facilities. As we expressed at the Public Hearing,
enter the Everett Clinic is committed to addressing impacts that result from its activities
ease
and operations. Enclosed with this letter is my letter of August 6, 2004, to
cine
Physicians' Eye Clinic. As you can see, the Everett Clinic is implementing actions
rvices
that should alleviate the problems that Dr. Tom Jones identified as concerns of
Physicians' Eye Clinic.
Notwithstanding the actions the Clinic is undertaking to address those prior
3Y issues, I would like to provide the Clinic's additional commitment to participate in a
enters dispute resolution process if the City or the Physicians' Eye Clinic believes that
Everett Clinic operations create unreasonable impacts. Thus, if after a period of
3fe six (6) months from the adoption of the street vacation ordinance, either the City or
vices Physicians' Eye Clinic has identified issues or impacts resulting from Clinic
cine operations that are believed to be contrary to regulations or agreements, the
Everett Clinic will pay the cost of a half-day mediation to see if an agreed
resolution of those issues can be achieved.
The improved communication between the Everett Clinic and the
Physicians' Eye Clinic as identified in my letter of August 6th, should minimize the
need to utilize a formal dispute resolution process. Nonetheless, the Everett Clinic
is committed to follow through as we represented at the public hearing. This letter
ne is evidence of that commitment and the basis upon which the City or Physicians'
Eye Clinic may request that dispute resolution process to be initiated.
27
Avenue
A 98201
)966
