May 20, 2015 <br /> STREET CLOSURE — BIKE TO SCHOOL DAY <br /> To authorize a rolling street closure from 13th and Hoyt, to 10th Street, <br /> to Whittier Elementary, for a Bike to School Day on May 28, 2015, <br /> 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., sponsored by the Whittier Elementary PTA. <br /> STREET CLOSURE — BLOCK PARTY <br /> To authorize the closure of Grand Avenue, 33rd to 34th Street, for a <br /> Block Party on May 23, 2015, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., sponsored by <br /> the Purpose Church of Everett. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Roberts who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING — PROPOSED VACATION <br /> Council President Bader opened a public hearing regarding the vacation <br /> of a portion of the north/south alley lying north of Wall Street between <br /> Oakes and Rockefeller Avenues and directed staff to prepare an <br /> ordinance subject to the conditions as contained in the staff report. <br /> Council President Bader invited public comment. There were no citizens <br /> who wished to speak. <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member <br /> Tuohy, to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Roberts who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 148 <br />
