2005 Budget Hearings <br /> Protocol: <br /> The hearings will occur in the order listed on the Budget Hearing Schedule by <br /> Department. This schedule also gives a page number reference for each fund. <br /> Each fund will be called out by Fund Number and Budget Appropriation Amount, <br /> and the floor will be open for questions. <br /> If requested, the department head will come to the podium. Support staff may <br /> come forward also as requested by the department head. <br /> The department head or support staff will respond to questions from Council. <br /> The November 10 hearing is reserved for follow-up questions from the previous <br /> two hearings. <br /> Questions that need further research will come back to the third hearing. Either <br /> the Budget Chair or Executive Director/Finance will confirm each follow-up item. <br /> The Budget Manager will keep a list of follow-up items. <br /> When the hearings conclude, Council may vote to direct staff to prepare the <br /> Budget Ordinance for the 2005 Budget. <br /> If time allows, Budget Chair may choose to start the November 3 hearing <br /> schedule on October 27. <br />
