Account Number(s): Utility Fund 401 <br /> Budget Remaining $300. <br /> Additional Required 0. <br /> DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: <br /> Transfer of existing groundwater rights to Walter Hall Golf Course and Kasch Park was one of several <br /> recommendations in the 1994 Water System Plan to reduce the demand on the City's Sultan River water <br /> supply. In 1997, the Snohomish County PUD quit claimed two of their groundwater rights to the City. In <br /> 1998, wells were constructed at Walter Hall Golf Course and Kasch Park. Following construction of these <br /> wells, the City submitted applications to transfer seven groundwater rights to Walter Hall Golf Course. <br /> American Legion Golf Course and Kasch Park. Authorization to publish the notice of the water rights <br /> application was received from the Dept of Ecology last month. After the water rights transfer is completed, <br /> construction of a production well at American Legion Golf Course and distribution piping at all three sites <br /> will be required. The wells are planned to be operational by the summer of 2007. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Public Works Department to Publish Notice of Application to transfer groundwater rights to <br /> Walter Hall Golf Course, American Legion Golf Course, and Kasch Park <br /> 3 <br />
