Unf.ortunately, the other homes in her
area are quite old and need alot of work, as hers did before the
renovation. 7'he four neighbors her complaints are against live in
these homes . We didn' t find the garbage she spoke of, but did see
several junk _ars on a couple of the properties. I have asked the
City Attorney to c:eck out our Junk Car Ordinance to see if it
covers junk cars on private property.
I understand Ms . Parker's desire to get all of her neighbors to
clean up their properties. Unfortunately, it appears to be a poor
neighborhood without funds to do so ; plus oe of the homes she
complains about is a rental with people r.oming and going on a
continual basis.
I informed Ms. Parker that she could file a harrassment charge
against those folks that she felt were bothering her, but she was
unwilling to do so.
We will continue to work with Dis. Parker in regards to junk cars ,
and will take a periodic inspection of the neighborhood to check for
garbage that might attrack rats or other undesirables.
cc: Marion Dent Buildin Ins ector v l
Vic Chapman g p
i' l-.;i;
!! p 2 915P5
CIT COUNCIL OFFICE
