Both your
marked-up drawings of the Drainage Plan dated Nov. 10, 1993 and Nov. 12, 1993, two
sets of A-1 thru A-4 and sheet F-2, two sets of calculations sizing the oil/water separator
and copy f the site plan showing the area contributing to the storm water run off have
been enc.osed for your review. The following is an itemized response to your comments
dated November 17, 1993 that reference the drawings of Robert H Lee & Associates, Inc.:
The underground storage tank overfill protection is being met by using two different
methods of overfill protection. The first method uses the CEI monitor system, which
monitors the level of tank with an audible alarm. The second method is a float
vent/vapor valve which slows the delivery of the product from the delivery truck when
the tank reaches 95% capacity of the tank. The sump which catches any potential spill
at the fill tube and vent/vapor riser drains back into the tank. See sheet F-2.
Oil/water separator has been designed for a rainfall intensity of 0.5 inches per hour.
See calculations.
The bvpass manhole can be found on sheet A-1, A-3, detaii D7 on sheet A-4 and the
oil/water calwlations.
A turning swcture has been located downstrean of both the bypass manhole and the
oil/water separator. See sheet A-1, A-3, detail G1 on sheet A-4 and the oil/water
calculations.
The inlet and outlet inverts appear ou sheet A-3 and detail A1 and D7 on sheet A-4.
Feel free to call me should you have any questions regarding the above comments.
Sincerely,
ROB'ASSOCIATES, INC.
,
Robert Picard
Enclosures
 MAq16TTA, OI1
v.s.
BACRIIMlNTO, CA
AELLEYIIE, Wq
Pd W P817f1.1071(dMHR8.R1P
LA HAflRA.
