Roberts <br />Director <br />The Planning Department has compieted its review of the plans for the proposed remodeling of <br />the Chevron USA fas stadon, located at 6731 Beverly Blvd. The following �tems were noted: <br />1. Sheet L_1• The Landscape Plan indicates that ao land-scaping is proposed along the <br />east property line. The SEPA Determination required ten feEt of Iandscaping, at Type <br />[ standard. Sheet L-1 must be revised co indude the reyuired landscapiug m tLis area. <br />Z, Sheec A-4. D�►a�1 A-7. This detail indicates that the trash enclosure consists of a chain <br />link fence with wood slats. This method of fencing only provides about a 65% screen. <br />The enclosure must wnsist of a solid wood fence, or other material, which provides a <br />100% screen. This item will be noted on the approved plans. <br />3, e►,..�r q�_ n�ail F-1. The height of the proposed monument sign is 8'2". The site <br />plan indicaces that the siga(s) would be set back approzimately 6' from the property <br />line. Subsection of the Zonmg Cade 36.170.0 states: <br />The maaimum height for a freestanding sign shali be one foot for each <br />foot the sign is set back from the propercy iine which abuts the street <br />right-of-way, up to a maaimum height of 15 feet. <br />Therefore, in order for the proposed sign to be constructed to a height of 8'2" as <br />proposed, it must be set back at least 8'2" from the street right-of-way.
