Relocation inspection!; and building permits are
required when relocating a structure.
In accordance with the Everett City Zoning Code there is a required
side yard of six feet on each side of the building. The garage, in
its original location, may have had a side yard setback of less than
six feet. However, at the time the City of Everett annexed the area
your residence is located in, the garage was already there and was not
required to comply with zoninq requirements. At any time a "grand -
fathered in" structure is relocated after annexation, the structure
must meet the requirements of the zoning code.
Any questions you may have regarding the requirements of the zoning
code can be answered by the City of Everett Planning Department located
in City Hall, or phone 259-8731.
Questions you may have concerning the relocation of structures, inspections
or permits can be answered by the Building Inspection Department at
3200 Cedar Street, or phone 259-8745.
Please contact me within five (5) days of your receipt of this letter
with a plan of corrective action in this matter.
Yours truly,
L.
