Pierre, in the office several
times and have explained to him the requirements for relocating
structures and side yard setback requirements.
Last year Mr. Pierre decided to apply for a variance and go before
the Board of Adjustment in hopes of leaving the garage where he had
moved it. For some unknown reason, Mr. Pierre removed his application
and after a meeting with him in April of this year, he decided to
shorten the garage so that it would meet the Zoning Code setback
requirements.
There have been delays on the part of Mr. Pierre and each time I
send him a letter concerning the delay and the action we plan to
take, he, in turn, sends us copies of his Air Force Reserve duty
orders advising us that he is on active duty. The last set of orders
came through on August 29th. After discussing the situation with
Larry Callahan, Larry extended the time of demolition of that portion
of the garage to December 31, 1985.
Mrs. Nelson had called me last week and I advised her of this action.
I asked what the problem was in building the fence and she said the
garage was over the property line. This is the first time we have
been told this. We were informed it was close to the property line.
We do not issue permits to build fences so we don't have an application
for one in this instance.
