These comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1994, 2nd Edition, unless stated otherwise. 1. The new portable classroom must be located 10'-0" minimum from other portables or buildings or must be of two hour rated construction per table 5A. 2. Risers on stairs must be closed per sec. 3106 (i)2. 3. The openings between intermediate rails on guardrails cannot exceed 4 inches per sec. 1712 (a). In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. Upon submittal of the drawings, your application will be given priority and plan review will recommence.
